At IFA Berlin, Dell and Samsung have each launched a 10-inch tablet and have taken major steps in making Microsoft’s Window RT the next big thing in mobile devices. The Samsung ATIV Tab is a 10-inch tablet that falls under the company’s new “ATIV” brand and delivers a full Windows 8 experience. Likewise, Dell launched the XPS 10, a gorgeous 10-inch tablet that caters to both consumers and professionals.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 processors can be found in some of the sleekest, most powerful mobile devices in the market, but what may not be immediately obvious is that these processors can power devices beyond smartphones and tablets.

Microsoft’s Windows RT is such a new and exciting platform that most content, especially in the gaming area, is being greeted with open arms. Qualcomm recognizes the importance of Windows RT and recently demonstrated how Microsoft has already taken advantage of some of the key technologies within our Snapdragon S4 processor. The task at hand: Multiplayer gaming across the globe with Windows RT.

Over the past few years, Microsoft has used Snapdragon processors in all of their Windows Phones. Inside every Window Phone 7 handset was either a Snapdragon S1 or S2 processor. The close collaboration between Microsoft and Qualcomm has resulted in a sea of fast and powerful smartphones with great battery life. So fast, in fact, that Microsoft invited anyone to come into a Windows Store to get “Smoked by Windows Phone.”
